Studio Policy

Fees and Billing Period
Fees for an agreed term of lessons are payable in full in advance and not on the day of the first lesson. Fees paid 1 month in advance attract a 5% discount while fees paid 3 months in advance attract a 10% discount. Fees do not cover the cost of lesson materials, which may be made available for sale at the studio or purchased elsewhere.
Acceptable Payment Methods and Times
Cash and checks are acceptable methods of payment and are accepted during normal office hours (Sunday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm)
Returned Check Policies
It is the responsibility of the student to bear the cost of any fees incurred from returned checks. The studio will not accept checks from students with two (2) returned checks.
Lesson Times and Punctuality
Lesson times are scheduled at the mutual agreement of teacher and student, subject to the availability of open lesson times. Lesson times are timed from the scheduled time and end at the time scheduled even if the student is late. If the lateness is caused by the studio then the time will be made up at the end of the scheduled time or at another time that is mutually agreed.
Fee Refunds, Lesson Cancellation and Withdrawal Procedures
Lesson cancellation and withdrawal due to extenuating circumstances require at least 24 hours notice from the student. Absence from lessons due to extenuating circumstances without notice require an explanation from the student within 24 hours after the scheduled lesson. The onus is on the student to prove that the circumstances were in fact extenuating. Refund of fees or make-up lessons, under these circumstances, is entirely at the discretion of the studio.
